The Social Services Office is available to anyone in the Readington Township community. Regular office hours are between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Emergency services are available at all times. 

We provide a variety of services to residents including assessment, information about programs and referral to community resources, including Readington Starfish. In addition, we offer help with applying to programs such as PAAD, Lifeline, Home Energy Assistance, Senior Tax freeze and many more.  For information call the Social Services Office.

  • The Food Pantry will provide emergency food packages to families in need. Donations are accepted all year long. Readington Area Starfish holds food distributions at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and the Fourth of July.
  • Readington Starfish assists Township residents with emergency needs.  Call to discuss your situation in confidence.

Readington Area Starfish wants to thank everyone who helped to make our Fourth of Summer food distribution a success.  Your support makes this effort possible!
Starfish is a community based volunteer organization that operates an emergency food pantry, assists local residents with emergency and provides holiday food “baskets” to families in need.  It’s a great organization!!

CURRENT EVENTS: 
Farmers Market Vouchers
Vouchers are NOW available at the Social Services office for income eligible seniors (60 years or older).  Single: $1,860 month Couple: $2,504 month.  Documentation of income must be provided.   Receive 5 free checks valued at $5 each for use at participating farm stands.  Call 908 534-0974

Backpacks for School
The Backpack Program in Readington Township provides backpacks and new school supplies to children of local families who are struggling to make ends meet and must make difficult financial decisions when meeting their families basic need expenses such as food, shelter, transportation, clothing and health care.
It is our hope that this support enables students to take advantage of the educational opportunities available to them and to achieve the goal of obtaining a good education. 
Join us in this worthy endeavor by donating school supplies for needy Township students.

Readington Starfish accepts food and monetary donations.  Donations can be made through local churches, dropped off at the Municipal Building (Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or mailed directly to Readington Area Starfish Treasurer, 530 Route 523, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889.
